Modular. Lightweight. Cost-effective. For the next generation of European night transit.

ALISA

Europe's Night Train of the Future

The ALISA research project is rethinking the European night train. At its core is a modular and lightweight bi-level sleeper train concept that combines a high level of passenger comfort with economically viable and flexible operation.

A standardized interior concept allows the configuration and equipment of the carriages to be adapted to different operational scenarios without modifying the underlying vehicle structure. Three permanently coupled carriages form a self-contained train unit that can be flexibly combined with additional passenger carriages.

Optimized lightweight construction and full accessibility of both levels create a high passenger capacity. At the same time, the vehicle concept is designed not only for night-time, but also for daytime operation.

ALISA combines modularity, lightweight construction and interior comfort into a holistic concept for the future of European night travel.
